Ride to Taj : Taj Mahal

The ride Experience- straight from the mouth of the traveler

Two crazy friends started the journey from Delhi to The Taj Mahal and then back to Delhi in one day.

In one of the friend’s own words:

“We started from Delhi. First of all, we rented a bike. We considered private transport the best because we had planned to go, explore and come back in a day. We started from Delhi and headed towards Gurgaon. Then we drove to Faridabad heading our way towards Mathura moving on to Agra and then finally the destination- The Taj Mahal. This route is not as easy as it seems. We need to have few things handy- a scarf to cover the face, sunglasses, glares which are night specific as well because of the dust through the route and of course, a water bottle should always be with you. If personal vehicle is what you are going by, you must be quite good at driving considering the traffic, rush and the roads.

Well. Coming back to our ride, it took us a total span of 4 hours and 25 minutes from Gurgaon to The Taj Mahal on bike. The day was sunny and clear. Thus, it was not very tough to ride. By the time we reached Agra, we were quite tired. So, we stopped at a local shop and had lemon water. After having lemon water, we again started for The Taj Mahal. In some time, we reached The Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal witnessed immense beauty and moderate crowd. The crowd had people from different regions of the world. It included foreign tourists, tourists from around the country and some local crowd. It is really important to mention here that the local crowd there was very supportive and helpful.

Once we reached The Taj Mahal, we headed inside and I was ready with my Camera to take some shots. We both were really excited to see The Majestic Taj- the symbol of love- the pride and honor of the nation- one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We roamed in and around The Taj and pictures which I am delighted to share with you all. After we stepped out from The Taj, we went out to a local restaurant to eat which was really a delight because we were quite hungry by that time. After having food, we started back for Delhi and it took us exactly 4 hours and 7 min to reach back.”
