Magnificent Jaipur – A pictorial Journey

Chirag Sadhnani is a young aspiring artist from Mumbai, India. He first developed a taste for photography in school and has since decided to pursue his dream professionally. The journey began with capturing people in real life settings. Over the years he has found himself travelling long distances in search of photographic freedom, looking to implant new ideas and possibilities into his visual work.

Venturing into little-known places has brought its own set of adventures and lifestyles which he wishes to share with the world by capturing photos. The photo series which started taking shape two months prior to the actual shoot, giving enough time to set timings and locations. He worked with a blogger from Dubai and chose Jaipur  as the location because of endless frame opportunities in every nook and corner of the city.

‘It is spectacular and magnificent in every way, not to forget the element of lifestyle in the background as well’, says the photographer. The whole series took him around 3 days to shoot and about a week to process the files. Chirag used a mirrorless camera by Sony, a DSLR, a wide lens as well as a prime lens for this photo series. He then processed the pictures in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Color Efex Pro. Sadhnani finds inspiration almost every day, thanks to Instagram! Few of his favourites are Chris Burkard, Alex Strohl, Elia Locardi, Rory Kramer, Sam Kolder and Neal Howland.

Photography is more than just the perfect shot, ‘It is an experiential release of immersing myself in the beauty of what I see with my eyes!’, says Chirag Sadhnani.
